Australia enjoys one of the world’s highest living standards, due in no small part to the enterprise, ingenuity and dedication of Australia’s management talent, and a long held belief that a highly educated workforce is one of our best guarantees of maintaining our competitiveness on the world stage.

The current state of the local and international economies provides a compelling reason for individuals to invest in themselves and for businesses to invest in their teams. Competing in global markets, defending local markets, changing population demographics and environmental sustainability are but a few of the challenges we face and the better educated we are the more we are able to face these challenges.

From modest beginnings in the mid 20th century the Australian Institute of Management has grown to become Australia’s largest management organisation, and an indispensable partner for many thousands of individuals and organisations managing the increasingly complex nature of building careers and businesses.

In recent times at AIM we have been speaking with our Members and Customers, to ensure that the future we’re creating is aligned with the needs and aspirations of our key stakeholders. We’re taking action, and positive results are flowing. The work we are doing to reinvigorate our Membership offering, moves into exploring new properties, and a commitment to ensuring the ‘customer journey’ exceeds expectations at every point are just some examples. Change is happening, but it is managed change and aligned to the strategic vision for the future.

We look forward to announcing more of the evolution of the Australian Institute of Management soon, and to involving all of our stakeholder groups as we do.
