There is no doubt that many industry sectors are experiencing a severe shortage of skills — this is already a major organisational concern for both the private and public sectors in Australia and New Zealand.

In late 2010 Hays conducted a survey to ascertain what strategies their clients were investing in to bridge current and future skills shortages.

Join Kathy Kostyrko, Director of Hays, as she shares the results of this survey, which together with other pieces of research forms the platform for this Hot Topic presentation.

In this presentation you will hear about the strategies being used with great success to help alleviate skill shortages; employment branding, training and development, mature-age employees, women in the workplace and much more. Kathy will also discuss what actions you can take to alleviate skill shortages in your workplace, plus practical examples of what works and why.
