The focus of this session will be to provide a set of practical skills to assist in altering presentations on the fly. We often find ourselves in a position where even with hours of work developing that perfect presentation we arrive to find the audience is totally different than anticipated or are interested in very different things. This session will focus on developing the skills required to tailor your presentations on the spot to meet the needs of the audience:

  • How to present the same point to people with different views and interests
  • How to assess the audience as you go to determine if your presentation is hitting the right notes
  • How to use emerging technologies including web based presentation tools to create a presentation that is almost full proof.
  • How to ensure that your participants go away and consider your presentation instead of immediately dismissing it once they leave the room.

Members will get the chance to meet Mary Lou, our Library Manager, at this event. Get up to speed on the Knowledge Centre benefits with live demos of the AIM Online Library from 5pm.

“I found the AIM Library resources to be extremely useful for both work and studies…and the staff are resourceful and friendly.” AIM Member
